Il Ciabot

Amazing owner and the place! We stayed as a couple in Il Ciabot in early July 2023. The owner, signor Stefano Cagliero, is an incredibly welcoming and interesting person, who run a family business of this Agriturismo and the wine production, managing vineyards around Agriturismo as well. We joined a wine degustation and were very happy with this experience! Signor Stefano is a warm, very professional and a very humble person, passioned with what he is doing! Signor Stefano also recommended us many great places in the area and helped to organise a picnic on the open terrace of Agriturismo with panoramic view of Barolo. The open terrace deserves a special mentioning! We meet sunsents and sunrises on this terrace and it was absolutely incredible experience. Our room in Il Ciabot was clean, very nice, in a traditional style of Piedmont, with a small fridge with welcoming foods, there were also teapon, tea, coffee, cups, cookies, yogurt and everything needed. We've found a nice bottle of Barbera from their home-vineyards in our room as a welcome gift :) and a couple of glasses for wine. Thus, we enjoyed this wine on the sunset on the terrace. Agriturismo has several terraces (all with panoramic views of the vineyards and Barolo). We could easily walk in the vineyards around. Location is very convenient, because we could reach Barolo by walk in 10 minutes. We were also very excited to see the cellars and wine production - it was very interesting part of our stay. Wines are just great and we took several bottles with us before to leave Agriturismo. We highly recommend this place for staying in Barolo and the area around, and wish all the best to the owner of this small magic Agriturismo and wine production! We will surely come back!

Good restaurant, We had a menu with mushrooms for only 35 euro pp The chef showed the porcini he found that day. The Barbera wine from the region fitted just fine with the delicious taste of the uncommon combinations of mushrooms & fish, the calfs cheek and the ravioli with cheese. The Ramandolo with the desert and uncomplicated serving was the finishing touch. We will return this week to take the other menu...

Ristorante di livello medio alto,servizio all'altezza anche se un pochino freddo.Carta dei vini buona con prezzi abbordabili. Buona cena. Un solo appunto,se lo chef arriva in sala dovrebbe perdere un minuto per tavolo,e non solo ai conoscenti.

Consigliato da amici, siamo andati in 10 a pranzo per festeggiare il mio compleanno. Tutto super: la location, il servizio, cibo e impiattamento, vini e prezzo finale. Ci torneremo!!

Era da tempo che ne parlavamo, finalmente questa sera ci siamo decisi. Mi ci ha portato il mio Angelino. Spesso ne parlavamo di questo locale, perché circa ventisette anni fa aveva fatto una cena di chiusura azienda, invitando tutti i suoi colleghi di lavoro. Anche oggi come all' ora siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti Voto ... 10 Lo consiglio.

Siamo andati con la famiglia a pranzo e devo dire che i piatti sono davvero di livello. Il servizio visto il menù e un po troppo famigliare ma nel.complesso un buon compromesso tra gusto e valore

Il locale si trova nel piccolo comune di Roletto, proprio adiacente alla casa comunale. Anonimo all'esterno è invece elegante e raccolto all'interno con soffitto con travi a vista e camino. La cucina: inaspettatamente di alto livello. Pur se il locale è stato segnalato dalla guida Michelin nel 2018, ero scettico all'inizio ma mi sono dovuto ricredere. Tutto ottimamente cucinato ed impiattato (anche l'occhio vuole la sua parte) dallo chef e patron Mario Agu', coadiuvato in sala dalla moglie e da personale sempre molto cortese e disponibile. I piatti della tradizione piemontese sono rivisitati in chiave moderna. Ottimo il tris di antipasti caldi ed il baccalà in olio di cottura con agrumi e salsa tartara; tra i primi notevoli i fagottini di polenta allo stracotto di bue e, tra i secondi, eccezionale il maialino in crosta di pane speziato alla birra con puré di mele. Degni di nota, tra i dessert proposti e provati, la mousse di zabaione ed il semifreddo al torroncino, entrambi accompagnati da un fresco sorbetto ai frutti di bosco. Prezzi più che onesti se rapportati alla qualità del cibo e del servizio. Sicuramente consigliato.
